Daedalus' Great plan was to construct wings made out of the feathers of birds that floated down through the window, the candle wax of the lights that adorned the wall and there sandle straps.
Just don't Fly to close to the waves or the sun should the wax on your wings melt.

After years of slow collection of feathers and building their wings, they were finally done and they were ready to fly home!
