Remember guys, underage drinking is bad for many reasons, including: Your liver can only detoxify small amounts of alcohol at once. More than 4000 teens die per year due to alcohol, you are more likely to engage in risky behaviors or violent acts, and there is a higher likelihood of car crashes under the influence. Yet, 12.6 million teens in the US drink.

So here are my options: I can take the alcohol and drink a lot, I can take the alcohol and drink a little, or I can take none at all. I will weigh the pros and cons.
If I take the alcohol and drink a lot: I won't be worried about the test for a bit, I will no longer be curious, and I will fit in. But, I could get alcohol poisoning, go unconscious, and/or develop an addiction
If I take the alcohol and drink a little: my mind will be off the test, it will wear off soon, and John will still be happy. But, I could form an addiction, learn unhealthy coping mechanisms, and my alertness will be compromised.
If I take nothing at all: My parents will be proud, I won't form an addiction, and I may develop better ways to cope. But, I'll still be stressed, it will be awkward with Billy, and I will still be curious.

My peer influences: John says it doesn't cause him any harm, positive. John says it will make me feel good, positive. My friends say I should try it just to test it out, also positive.
I should also identify my influences so I can make the best choice.
Cultural influences: On TikTok I see parties with alcohol and they look fun. That's positive. In a song I like, the artist says that drinking is fun, also positive. However, I read an article that says alcohol is bad for teens, negative.
"Normal behavior:" Everyone in my grade is drinking underage, positive. People might call me weird if i don't, positive. Social media makes it seem fine and normal, positive.
