- A singer that was known for his sweet, honey-like voice.. The king and queen had requested for him to sing at their ball, to which he happily accepted.
-  Once arriving, he stood on the stage and sang his heart out, and caught the attention of the prince, who was entranced by him. However, while singing, the singer’s eyes notice a painting of a sculptor on the other side of the room, who appeared to be smiling at him 
- He wasn’t sure if he was seeing things or not, so during his break, he decides to take a look and finds out that the painting was alive. He and the sculptor fall in love at first sight, and the sculptor gives him a ring through the painting. 
- The prince approaches the singer and shares his feelings toward the singer before noticing the ring on his finger. “Are you married?” “No your highness.” “Then why is your ring finger taken?” “It’s that of my lover.” “Are they here now?” “Aye. He sits in a frame of gold.” “I can give you more riches than he can. Let me take your hand in marriage.” “I’m deeply sorry your highness, my heart belongs to him.” 
- The singer beings to walk toward the painting and the prince watches the sculptor’s lips curve into a smile, and he grows furious that he was rejected for a painting of a mere sculptor. Pulling out his dagger, he runs to stab the painting and tear it to shreds. The singer hears him and immediately runs to shield the painting. The prince stabs the singer, who falls to the ground and bleeds gold to the shock of everyone, including the prince, who just registers what he’s done. 
- The singer starts to slowly fade away until there's nothing left of him. The prince frantically looks around the room along with the rest of the guests, until their eyes catch sight of the singer in the arms of the sculptor in the painting, both smiling at each other.
