- Tommy : Good day to all of you. I would like for us to work together and create a campaign entitled “Hope is on the horizon”.
- Genetic Disorders are timely and relevant. As the director of the Genetic society of the Philippines, I encourage all of you to fight the stigma and campaign for awareness on Down Syndrome.
- Grace: Relax guys, let's try our hardest to complete this project.
- Tommy : What can we do now that the director has given us this task?
- Arthur: Challenge accepted.
- John : Oh man! This is going to be a lot of work!
- Grace: That’s right, in order to raise awareness, we must first learn their nature.
- Arthur: Good afternoon everyone, I am pleased to present to you the “Hope is the Horizon project” that aims to campaign for awareness on people struggling with Down syndrome.
- Grace: Is that so? Then how did it happen?
- John: According to Fleming (2022) “Genetic Disorder refers to diseases that may include various birth defects such as; psychological, physiological, and developmental shortcomings.
- Grace: It happens when a mutated gene changes into a gene. It occurs when there is an insufficient amount of genetic material in the DNA that is responsible for the unique traits.
- Arthur :According to SSM Health Cardinal Glenon Children's Hospital Developmental delay (2022), Down syndrome is a chromosome condition.
