- After meeting with Mira a couple of times Edith finally trust her and seeks her help

- Yes I can. You will need a non-Jewish friend that will need to go to the police and tell them that her papers were destroyed. They will give her new ones which you will use to escape.
- Maria sent me here and told me that you could help me escape this country.
- Good afternoon officer. I'm such a klutz. My papers accidentally got destroyed in a boating accident. Could you please print me some replacements. It would mean the world to me.
- OK, but after this you are not allowed anymore replacements.
- The year is 1942 in Munic. Edith's name is now Garetha Denner to conceal her true identity. She works for the red cross to remain undetected by the Nazis.

- After a couple months of seeing each other, they fell in love. Warner Vetter, a German citizen who was a Nazi party member. He kept Edith safe for all those years and cared for her.
- I have something to tell you too. I am actually Jewish and my real name is Edith Beer. I have been working for the Red Cross to hide from the Nazis.
- Edith and Warner got married in 1942 and divorced in 1947. After the war, Edith reclaimed her Jewish background and became a leading judge after the Russians deported Warner to Siberia. She had a daughter and moved to London, England to live out the rest of her years.
