- I am from Chang'an China, the city of a million men. Chang'an is the capital of China and it is also the most powerful city due to how many people live here.
- I am traveling to Mogadishu which is a city along the Silk Road on the Swahili Coast. They trade all kinds of stuff
- Us in Chang'an like to trade silk, paper, wine, perfume, medicinal drugs, and camphor
- The people in Mogadishu trade gold, ivory, iron, and slaves.
- The people of Chang'an are mainly Buddhist. Our art often reflects our religion and is painted very delicately with ink on a bamboo brush onto rice paper
- The people of Mogadishu are Islam and their art differs from ours. They show more hard stops with lines rather than flow. The art is often crude.
- The people of Mogadishu are Islam and they have the Five Pillars of Islam. Belief in God and his prophet, obligations to prayer, charity, pilgrimage, and fasting.

- I heard that a civil broke out in Mogadishu not too long ago and a lot of people died.
