Massachusetts governor Michael Dukakis issued a proclamation stating that Sacco and Vanzetti were treated unjustly and were innocent. Some people, like Michael Dukakis believe Sacco and Vanzetti were innocent and were only convicted for murder due to being Italian immigrants and anarchists. Not only could the court system have been biased against them, but the man who confessed to commiting the crime could have been the one who commit it.
