- Sodapop and Darry met by chance on a street and they had had a fight
- Darry changed to the Soc because he did not want to have problems with the Greasers because he no longer liked them
- When darry left all the greasers wanted to have a fight in the parking with the socs since darry had abandoned them
- 3 days later the socs move for 1 week
- when they return they find the two bargains and start to fight
- everyone is killed with guns
