- One morning in the early 1900s, at Don Julian's house, he and Carmen was talking about Alfredo who is long engaged to his partner Esperanza and progress on taking their relationship to another level. (marriage)

- Alfredo went to the judge's house and met Julia Salas that started their interaction and followed by a few more, that made Alfredo confused about what he has for Esperanza.

- The time when Julia left after knowing about Alfredo being engaged to someone else while dealing with her. Also, when Esperanza confronted Alfredo after finding out his lies and connection with Julia.

- After Julia left and after the confrontations, Alfredo decided to continue his and Esperanza's wedding and took responsibility as Esperanza's future husband.
