Malik was a RB, and while he played there for 6 years he was one of the best players out there. As a Running Back, he recorded over 1,000 rushing yards, over 300 receiving yards, and 25 touchdowns as a RB over 6 years with the Detroit Stars.
Domination
Malik was now 5-Star Running Back recruit of James Bernard(or Bernard High for short) High School located in Detroit, Michigan. He was now a senior in High School now and he commited to play College Football for The University of Michigan. He was a straight A student, top Running Back in his class, and was about to become a hometown hero commiting to play for Michigan but soon that would all change.
No More Football!
Malik, I'm sorry but you'll never be able to play football again.
Malik was now through the first few weeks of the college football season but he wasn’t playing so good. This angered Malik because everyone was so much better than him and he was used to being the best football player out there on the field. He was sitting in his dorm room sad and frustrated at the way he had been playing. He pulled out a bottle from his drawer and you wouldn’t believe what they were: steroids. Malik was thinking about taking sport-enhancement drugs and he thought to himself that he wanted to help michigan win so badly and be better than anyone else so he decided to start taking steroids.
Malik’s was just dominating the competition in the BIG TEN and throughout the NCAA. After starting the season 1-2, Michigan finished with a 14-2 record on a 13 game-winning streak and a national title. Malik led Michigan, the entire BIG Ten, and NCAA football in rushing yards per game and for the entire season. Malik won many accolades that year but one particular event in the past put his future in jeopardy.
Malik was getting ready for the upcoming season and he went to the doctor to get a check-up because he had not been feeling well recently and his heart had pain. When the doctor was done checking him he said that Malik had cardiomyopathy. This condition kept blood from pumping blood into the heart correctly and Malik could never play football again. Malik cried because he figured out that he had taken his own future away from himself by taking steroids instead of working hard.
