Hello! My name is Tim Visbeek and this is my story.
Slajd: 2
In High School, I was pretty good at football and I love the sport. I went to camps during the summer and got an offer to play division 3 football for the University of New England
Slajd: 3
Of course, I accepted the offer and came into school as an athletic training major.

Freshman year wasn't the best. I didn't enjoy my major, I took naps almost every day and was really lazy with my schoolwork.
Slajd: 5
I told my parents about my struggles and told them if I didn't take summer classes, I would be ineligible for football. After long thought, I decided to lock in, passed my summer classes, then switched my major.

The new major I decided to switch to was "Art and Design Media" because I enjoyed photography classes in high school and thought about being a camera man for sports.

Although I enjoyed photography, there were a lot of art/drawing classes that I hated and once again I slacked off.
I came to college with a girl, she transferred following freshman year, and we broke up
I was chasing girls, making more friends than ever before, partying and barely got any playing time on the field so I completely neglected school

Once again, I left my parents disappointed.
I switched to elementary education before spring semester of sophomore year but I only was enrolled in 1 class in which I got an A. Every other class was a struggle for me. My grades were so bad that I got kicked out of school. Luckily, with the help of my coach and advisor, I was able to take summer classes and got myself back into school. Thank God.

I HAVE to LOCK IN!!!!! I can't let my parents, friends, coaches, and teachers down this time.
Slajd: 10
Fall semester of junior year was my best semester yet. I enjoyed fieldwork at schools, built real relationships with my professors and stayed on task.

I also started dating Sophie and she is awesome

Moral of the story: School is more important than the other things. Especially in college. We pay way too much money to go to college and have to manage our time wisely. I learned this the hard way but with the support from multiple great people in my life, I have overcome my struggles
Job isn't finished though. I have to keep working so I can be the best teacher for the future.
