- I, Boston Corbett, want to run away and never come back!!! I am sick and tired of having people either thank me or yell at me for shooting JWB. This action has caused me nothing but guilt and I am going insane because of it!
- At first I enjoyed all the fame and the notoriety but now it is driving me crazy.
- Where shall I run off to? I think somewhere very far away where no one will recognize me for being JWB's shooter. Africa seems like the perfect place for me! Surely no one knows who I am there.
- I am now on a ship sailing to Africa! When I get there I am going to work on a farm to earn money. I am so relieved that no one will know me and I can live a normal life again!
- Boston Corbett was on the ship for four months.
