- EXPOSITION
- I'm so glad a get to see you again. I was starting to think you were never going to visit Mexico.
- My mom had sent me to Mexico for my graduation trip hoping that I could spend time with my family who lived in Hidalgo, and hadn't seen in over 12 years. Although I was hesitant, I agreed to go hoping to reconnect with my family and culture while being there. I was nervous when my plane first landed and when my grandparents showed me around the city in which they resided in.

- CONFLICT
- Everyone was really nice and respectul, but from the beginning there was this distance since I was practically a stranger. I would see my family be to loving and warm to each other, and it made me feel like I had missed out on something so sweet. I basically arrived out of nowhere and I felt like I was never going to be a part of that loving family.

- RISING ACTION
- Mexico is so beautiful! Being here feels amazing and refreshing.
- While being there, my grandparents took me to multiple tourist places in Hidalgo, Mexico. I started to see a whole different world, one that was so calm and beautiful. I fell in love with Mexico. Which only stung more realizing that if I had grown up in Mexico, I would have been close to my family and been able to live this life that I was falling in love with.

- CLIMAX
- No matter where you are or how long you are gone for, you will always be our family. You will always have a home with us.
- One day, my grandma had taken me to meet her siblings (my great uncles). Meeting them was pretty funny considering the fact that they had been drinking and felt "ashamed" to meet me like that. Despite that, they welcomed me and reassure me that I should never feel alone or sad because I had them to depend on. They told me that I was always going to be their precious niece even if I lived miles away.

- FALLING ACTION
- Their words had made me cry because after a while of feeling so out of place they came along and told me how much this beautiful and amazing family loved me. When It was time for me to leave I was sad but I knew that I was still a part of this family in Mexico at the end of the day.

- RESOLUTION
- I have my own live here in Arizona that I love very much, but I also have another in Mexico. Both are precious to me and I know that I should never take either one for granted.
