- This dying grass is decomposing because the microbes within the geosphere are breaking down the plant. Decomposers are animals like worms or maggots that break down plants.The geosphere contains the physical attributes of the lithosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere. The Geosphere also consists of the earth's innermost layers. Which is approximately 5 to 70 kilometers in depth.
- The lithosphere overlays the geosphere and spans between 96 and 199 kilometers deep.The lithosphere causes the plate tectonics (above and underwater to create natural disasters and create minerals.

- Charlie: The atmosphere is like a storage unit for carbon dioxide. Our atmosphere needs to release that carbon dioxide for the carbon cycle to progress. Carbon dioxide can be many different forms from fossil fuels to deforestation. Charlie: if you're wondering what the hydrosphere is jay it contains different types of water. Water can be found everywhere like in icebergs or oceans. The atmosphere and hydrosphere interact with each other from rain to water vapor.
- Jay: Could you explain what the hydrosphere is? Then briefly explain how the hydrosphere affects the atmosphere.

- In conclusion the carbon cycle is essential to the earth and all life itself.
- We now have the biosphere which includes biotic (living things) and abiotic (non-living things). The biosphere comprises of animals within the lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere. Single cell organisms are the first recorded lifeforms on earth before we had biotic and abiotic animals.
