- In the village shortly before the partition
- Baba, I hear it too, but its hard to grasp. How can they split us apart after all this time? Our neighbors, friends .. they are Muslims but we've shared harvests and festivals!
- Rohan, the whispers grew louder. They say the country is being divided! Hindus on one side Muslims to the other. Can you believe it ?? We've lived side-by-side for generations.

- what will we do Baba?? Where will we go..?
- The truth is, there's been a growing divide. religion tensions have escalated. But still, this feels like a nightmare. We may have to leave our home, our field .. Everything we've built. This partition is a great tragedy.

- We will find a way, Kamala. We have eachother, we have our faith. We will find a new home and make a new life. It is our duty. We won't forget what happened but we won't let it define us.
