- Canaan is also called the promised land
- I don't trust those Isrealite's
- My poor, poor Egypt
- In the year 1700 BCE, a man named Abraham lived in Ur, Mesapotamia. At some point, according to the Torah the Hebrew bible, Abraham made a covenant with god. in this agreement, Canaan would belong to Abrahams desendants
- The pharaoh finally let us free
- There was a famine or big lack of food in Canaan so Jacob and his family moved to Egypt. A new pharaoh came to power in Egypt and became mistrustful of the Israelite's. The pharaoh treated the Israelite's like slaves because the pharaoh didn't trust them.
- Please listen because I will give you the ten commandments
- Moses was a Israelite boy who was adopted by the pharaoh. God wanted Moses to do an ethical deed and ask the pharaoh to free the Israelite's but the pharaoh said no. The outcome of the pharaoh saying no were hardships that came to Egypt.
- We will forever treasure Moses
- When the pharaoh refused to set the Israelite's free, great hardships came to Egypt. When it got really bad as in every firstborn would die, Moses helped the Israelite firstborns by telling them to put lamb blood on their doors, the pharaoh finally left them free
- Moses received the ten commandments by going up mount Sinai, meeting up with god, and being given the Torah, that is what it says in the exodus. The ten commandments are important to Jews, Christians, and other religions today, "all monotheistic" because they believe if they follow gods laws "the ten commandment's" god will protect them.
- When the Israelite's began going to Canaan, Moses sadly died before they got there. Moses was able to see it from the top of mount Sinai though. To change the sad subject, Joshua was able to conquer Jericho by leading the Israelite's. One more thing, the tribes of Jacob split up in the north and the south.
