Bruno was told to never go near the fence. However he did and found a boy and they started to talk and found out that both of them had the exact same birthday date! Bruno left and did not tell anyone about his new friend.
As Bruno was about to move back to Berlin, he decided to go on an adventure with Shmuel on the other side of the fence to find Shmuel's Papa.
As they explore and tried to find Shmuel's Papa, they are swept into a crowd and are taken to an airtight chamber, where they are never heard from again.
