This proves the theme of loneliness since it shows that his judgemental attitude towards individuals makes it hard for him to form suitable connections with strangers,therefore keeping him isolated.

- After that, he begins to feel sensual urges,pushing him to call Faith Cavendish to go on a date with her,hoping she might be interested in him. This shows a sign of loneliness as he attempts to have companionship with Faith,desiring for her validation,which highlights i need for companionship .
