- Montag seeks help from Faber.Montag comes in contact with a former English teacher he met in a park in the past. He asks for help to understand books better and help to come up with a plan to overthrow the other firemen in the group he worked for. Though hesitant, Faber gives Montag an ear-piece to stay in contact, helping him in his plan.

- Montag kills Beaty and the Hound before running awayMildred and her friends end up reporting Montag after Montag began to recite poems and other pieces of literature to them. Montag is then forced to burn down his house as an order from his own captain, Beatty. Though, Montag snaps and ends up killing Beatty, the other firemen and the Hound before fleeing. A replacement Hound is now sent after Montag, who is now running away from the city and find a group of people by which Faber had told him to do after a small visit after the event.

- Montag finds the 'Book People'The replacement hound that had been chasing him had lost him after going through different obstacles through the river he arrived to. The authorities then broadcasted the news of 'finding Montag' but had just targeted a random man on the street, showing the cruelty of entertainment of the news broadcast in the world. Montag found a group of people who all had connections to literature. They welcomed Montag into their small group as they plan to move further from their present location. They watch the city get bombed from afar before planning to grow a new community far ahead, giving Montag an event to look forward to and concluding the novel.
