- Will Laura be angry?
- That's for you, Royal!
- What's the matter, buddy?
- I'm sorry.
- Andy had just been stabbed by a Guardian rival gang member. While he lay there bleeding, he thought of his girlfriend Laura, and wondered if she would be angry with him for having left to pick up smokes.
- "That's for you, Royal!"
- A drunk man almost stumbles on Andy laying on the ground. Not noticing the pool of blood beside Andy, he offers him a drink and walks off into the night.
- I'm Andy.
- While still conscious, Andy is able to see a couple of teenagers making out in the alley. Andy moans and grunts, trying to get their attention. The boy hears Andy and comes to his side. However, the boy, Freddie recognizes the trademark purple Royals jacket and begins to back away. Afraid of being spotted by a Guardian gang member, Freddie whispers an apology to Andy and takes off with Angela.
- A Royal.
- Andy knew he was dying. He knew the that his purple jacket made him a target for any Guardian, especially when outside of his turf. While lying there, Andy recalled the words shouted by his rival, who didn't even know his name.
- In his dying moments, Andy suddenly wished to no longer be associated with the Royals. He struggles, but succeeds to remove his Royals jacket. His jacket, once his pride and joy had sealed his fate.
- Laura found Andy's body in a doorway in the alley, an hour after he had been stabbed. When he didn't respond to her, she ran until she found a police officer. He confirmed Andy's death. The cop picked up Andy's jacket, knowing his death was gang-related. He pulled out his black pad and made his notes.
