The Miller and his Tale

- After the knight tells his tale the host insist that the monk tells his story next however the miller rudely interrupts and starts his story, but first he reminds everyone he is drunk so some stuff might not make sense.
- Oh my, he's officially lost it.
- I have seen a terrible event and I fear we all might die.
- In this scene we meet John (left) who is a carpenter and married to Alisoun(right) who is 18. With them lives a clerk named Nicholas (middle)
- I have seen a terrible flood that will kill us all come Monday, however we can survive. If we sleep in tubs tied to the roof we might survive.
- One day when John leaves Nicholas and Alisoun start to flirt but when Nicholas tries to grab her she threatens to scream for help. This causes Nicholas to cry but then Alisoun agrees to sleep with him.
- Nicholas comes up with a plan so that him and Alisoun can spend the night together so he goes to a field and comes up with a plan of a terrible vision so he can spend the night with her.
- Nicholas tells John that there will be a great flood and that they can survive if they tie tubs to the roof. He also tells him that it is God's commandment that they only pray once in the tubs so no one can say a word. He does this so him and Alisoun can sleep together.
- Nicholas had made a plan where him and Alisoun would sleep together while John would be sleeping in his tub and since no one would be speaking Nicholas thought the plan would work.
