- I sat outside the office and all I could hear were tiny quiet voices coming from the other side of the door.
- I felt anger, sadness, and confusion all spinning through my mind.

- I couldn’t help but feel the inequality that existed within the zero-tolerance policy. How could a policy that “initially focused on objective criminal activities (i.e.,weapons possession)” expand to the point of suspending someone for just messing around with zero violence intended? (Nicholas & Ayana & Chance, 2014). It felt as though it was being abused when used against minorities... particularly my friend.
- As we lay there on the bed, staring into the distance, tears began trickling down our cheeks once again. Just thinking about what had happened felt as though we were reliving the events of earlier that day and we only wished we could suppress them forever.
- It is unfair and the inequalities she faced shouldn’t exist. We only hoped nobody else would have to feel that same pain Ana felt that day.
