- Ah yes, thank-you. I am Mr. John Tanden.
- Mr. Tanden moves next door to Mr. Johnson
- Hi I am Mr. Johnson,! Welcome to the neighborhood!
- The first night with his new neighbor sounds like a zoo next door
- He has to have 20 dogs in that house.
- The next morning Mr. Johnson confronts his new neighbor about the animal noise 24/7
- If you do anything to affect my chances of taking in more needy strays I will kill you!
- Don't you think you are in the wrong at all here? A man needs some quiet time in his home
- In early June Mr. Tanden bought a row house right next door to Mr. Johnson. Mr. Johnson was not home when his new neighbor moved in but he met him early the next morning on his way to  work.
- Things go on for months and if anything the noise increases. Finally Mr. Johnson consults a lawyer.
- All night long Mr. Johnson hears dogs whining and barking and he gets no sleep!
- The Lawyer explains his rights
- I understand it all but the assault as he never hit me.
- You do not have to be touched to be assualted, if he did hit you that would be battery.
- Mr. Johnson tries to be kind but mentions that the noise of dogs whining and barking 24 hours a day is just not going to work. Mr. Tanden gets angry and says he looks after dogs he rescues and he will never stop. He says he has 8 right now but is getting another mom with pups just found. Although Mr. Johnson admires the cause, the noise is unbearable! Some angry words are said by Mr. Tanden.
- Months later the case goes to court
- Mr. Johnson explains to the lawyer that he gets no sleep from all the noise and he does not invite friends over because the noise is embarrassing and hard to talk over.  He mentions that every time he tries to talk to his neighbor about it, the neighbor threatens him and that is why he has been afraid to do anything before now..
- The lawyer explains that he can bring a civil case against Mr. Tanden for trespass of land and nuisance caused by the level of noise and the hours of noise. She also says he has a case for Assault because Mr. Tanden has been threatening him and Mr. Johnson is clearly fearful or he would not have let things go on for so long.
- The judge heard the case of Johnson VS Tanden and after hearing audio from Mr. Johnston's home at several different times of day and night and seeing a video of Mr. Tanden's setup at home she found that although she believes Mr. Tanden's heart is in the right place wanting to help animals, it is not fair to the neighbors or the animals to hear whining and barking day and night.  She found in favour of the Plaintiff Mr. Johnson and Mr. Tanden had to pay Mr. Johnson $5000 for nuisance causing suffering. but he had to pay another 410,000 for Uttering threats of death which is assault.
