- Meredith Grey drives into Seattle Grace as usual.
- She is assigned to Alicia Evans. Alicia has been having pains in her chest that no doctor had been able to diagnose.
- Meredith could not seem to figure out what was wrong with her. She finds her husband Derek Shepherd and asks him about the case. Derek assures her it is simple heartburn but Meredith isn't so sure.
- Meredith pages Cristina Yang and the two begin to try to diagnose Alicia. After several hours Meredith realizes Alicia has a rare condition and needs surgery right away.
- Meredith informs Derek and the two take Alicia into surgery right away.
- Alicia and her husband are overjoyed that they have cured her. Derek congratulates Meredith and the two head home together.
