- In the middle of the year, Bella Swan moves to Forks Washington, a dark and rainy city, to live with her father, a police officer, Charlie
- In Forks, she encounters these beautiful beings, named the Cullen's, who don't seen very fond of her.
- Then, a car almost hits Bella, but one of the Cullen's, Edward, pushes her out of the way in record time, making Bella notice that something wasn't normal with him.
- Bella and Edward develop a strong friendship over time.
- Until Edward needs to leave in order to protect Bella from his family's enemies
