Lamb to the Slaughter

Mary Maloney was waiting for her husband to arrive home from work. Patrick Maloney arrived home, but didn't say much as he sat down, and started to drink. Mary put away his coat, got Patrick's drinks ready, and asked if he wanted snacks. Patrick had other plans, and news to tell Mary.
Hullo darling. Tired darling?
Yes. I've got something to tell you.
After Mary hearing the news that Patrick will leave her, she couldn't understand it all, and went to start supper. Mary had grabbed a leg of lamb from the freezer and walked to Patrick swung the leg at his head. He died. Then, Mary went to the store to buy ingredients, and create an alibi. When she arrived home, she called that police that Patrick is dead.
Don't make supper for me. I'm going out.
