Where Water and Electrolytes are Absorbed.Proximal Convoluted Tubule (PCT) - 65-70% of water and Na+ reabsorbed.Loop of Henle - Creates concentration gradient.Distal Convoluted Tubule (DCT) Collecting Duct - Regulated reabsorption (hormone controlled).
What about the adaptions for different enviroment?

Where why are there differences?Differences are mainly found in nephrons and they exist because different species of animals live in different climates and therefore have different water controlling needs. For example dessert animals conserve water and aquatic animals excrete excess water. We also have physiological differences like hormones sensitivity, rate of filtration and reabsorption and ability to concentrate urine which makes alot of differenece
Thats a great question Leah. Lets go through that now
Thank you Miss Clover

Antidiuretic Hormone (ADH)Produces by the hypothalamus and relased by the posterior pituitary. Its affects the collecting ducts which means increased water reabsorption via aquaporins and results in concentrated urine and decreased urine volume.
Other Hormones involved,Aldosterone - increases Na+ reabsorption,Renin-angiotensin system - regulates blood pressure and volume.Arial Natriuretic Peptide - promotes water loss
I cant wait to tell everyone what i've learnt!!!
