- The Marshall Plan was a plan to help stimulate economic growth in effort to tear down and nearly bankrupt post WWII and prevent the spread of communism.
- The Berlin Airlift was when the western countries delivered food and supplies to the city of Berlin through airplanes because all the other routes were blocked by the Soviet Union.
- The Formation of NATO was made to deteriorate Soviet expansion and to forbid the renewal of nationalist militarism in Europe.
