- Hello! My name is Sam. I am an Australian farmer who specializes in extensive agriculture. In my type of agriculture, we usually have big plots of land, on which one or two crops are grown, and all the farm operations are fully mechanized. The total production of my farm is very high.

The farming methods are efficient and use a mix of both machinery and skilled labor. The crops are processed before being sent out for sale and to make sale more efficient the estates are well connected to ports and rail heads. The entire agricultural system is scientifically managed like a factory.
- Hello! I'm Daniel, a Russian farmer who specializes in mixed farming. In this type of farming, crop cultivation and animal rearing are both practiced on the same farm. Farm sizes are moderate and farming is done intensively using machinery, chemical fertilizers and improved seeds. Crops like wheat, maize, barley, legumes and others are grown, while animals like pigs, sheep, cattle and poultry are raised.
- Hello! I am Beth, a framer from Oklahoma. I specialize in pastoral farming or the commercial rearing of livestock. We keep animals like cattle, sheep and goats for milk ,meat, wool and hides. We keep the animals in huge farms called ranches. The animals are well looked after as the farms are scientifically managed and they get to feed on both natural grasses and fodder crops. It is a highly specialized type of farming and there are separate departments for every stage of animal production.
- Hi! I'm Taylor and I own a dairy farm in the UK. This type of farming where dairy cattle are reared to produce milk and milk products is known as dairy farming. It is practiced in urban areas. Both modern machines and large labor forces are employed to look after the cattle. Scientific methods of breeding are used and huge amount of capital needs to be invested.
- Hi! I'm Michelle. I am an Italian and I practice orchard farming. Orchard farming is a type of farming that developed in the Mediterranean region and includes the cultivation of crops like olives, figs, oranges and apricots. The plants are grown in large orchards. I also practice viticulture or grape cultivation. The grapes are grown in vineyards, like the one behind me. The grapes are used for wine production.
- Hi I am Nancy and I am an urban gardener from Denmark. The type of farming that I practice is known as market gardening and it involves the cultivation of vegetables, fruits and flowers solely for the urban markets. My garden is just outside the city in a suburban area. It is small in size but is intensely cultivated. Irrigation and fertilizers are needed to maintain soil fertility and a lot of manual labor is involved. However, the reward is big because we get generally high yields every year. Market gardening is also known as truck gardening as the fresh products are transported to the markets by trucks.
