Stage #4: Reign of Terror (1793)
The Declaration of the Rights of Man was passed in 1789, this document showed the main ideas of the French Revolution. This declared that all people has the rights of freedom and equality. This was not all good for France though, French people were turning on each other because of the revolution.
Stage #5: Reign of Terror Robespierre dead (1794)
King Louis left Paris in secret, he tried fleeing France go to where his brother was and trying to join the nobles in his brothers country. The Assembly and the followers then considered the king a traitor to France and then the Assembly voted that King Louis should be beheaded and put to death.
Stage #5: Napoleon crowns himself as emperor (1804)
European leaders were scared France was at war Austria, Prussia, Britain and the Netherlands. nine months after King Louis was beheaded his wife Marie Antoinette was put to death and be headed. Robespierre thought the revolution had gone to far and that anyone that did not agree with the revolution would get the guillotine.
Robespierre became master of the revolution but it did not last for to long. The Reign of Terror got taken too far so no one ended up being safe at all, a tavern keeper got killed for selling bad wine and priests were killed just because they were priests. Robespierre tried to kill himself but did not succeed, he was sent to the guillotine and put to death.
The war had ended, Napoleon was appointed to head of the government during a period of uncertainty. Napoleon brought ideas of the revolution into Frances government. By 1804 Napoleon had crowned himself as emperor.
