Yo did you heard about that Baker v Carr case I think they totally diluted the votes with their horrible apportionment.
How so?
If it's decided the supreme court has jurisdiction then the supreme court could step in and force any state to change it's legislative apportionment which would be a massive change in power since usually states are free to apportion as they please as long as they follow all the federal rules.

Yo did you hear about that Shaw v Reno case I think they totally reapportioned based on race to get additional black representatives.
How so?
If it's decided that it is a constitutional issue then gerrymandering can never be based in race even if benefiting minorities unless justified by a compelling governmental interest which would give everyone equal protection under the 14th amendment
