- Chapter One
- Oh Dorian, my dearest Dorian, I do believe I have ruined everything between us.
- Basil! Basil, Basil! You... you're alive! Does that mean... but it's impossible! Unless it was all a dream. But it all felt so real...
- Chapter Two
- You didn't. Dear Basil, you could never paint something as hideous as that. Do you remember what I said, thie first time I saw your painting?
- My God! I assuredly did not paintthat!
- Chapter Three
- I... if you insist.
- I do believe that Dorian has made it clear that he does not want your company, Lord Henry.
- Leave us, and do not return.
- Basil is down after what he percieves as rejection from Dorian post-confession. Dorian then runs in and is surprised that Basil is still alive. Dorian quickly becomes inconsolable and recounts the final events of the original novel. Basil doesn't fully believe it, and Dorian decides to show him the painting.
- Chapter Four
- Killing the snake does not remove the posion of its bite.
- Basil sees the corrupted painting. He is shocked at first, but soon resolves to help Dorian better himself. Dorian, believing himself to be beyond saving, resists at first, but eventually gives in.
- The first step in Dorian's redemption is removing Lord Henry's influence. Dorian and Basil confront Lord Henry, and friendship-break up with him. He seems unbothered, but there's something just under the surface... The picture does not change. Yet.
- Dorian is upset that the picture hasn't changed. Basil comforts him, saying that redemption takes a long time, and that removing the source doesn't heal the poison. The two kiss, but Basil breaks the kiss and leaves the room on the belief that Dorian doesn't actually love him. At least, not the way Basil loves Dorian.
- Oh, Basil...
- Dorian! Dorian... But it can't be. He will never love me as more than a friend, and I... I can never love him as such.
