- Trujillo is lying to everyone he kills anyone that get in his way! He killed all of my family members
- I feel like I am going to throw up
- Chapter 3
- I was so embarrassed!!! Everyone was laughing at me.#160;
- It's ok, they are just some mean girls.
- In chapter 1, Déde meets an interviewer who wants to ask her a couple questions about her sister's tragic death. So the interviewer meets Déde at her house and when the interviewer closed the car the noise that the car had made was giving Déde flashbacks about the guns and bombs. Déde was not very excited to be asked questions about this horrible time in her life but she tried to answer the questions as best as possible. Déde basically talks about her sisters dreams that they had and how much they wanted to achieve them.
- In chapter 2, Minerva is talking with her friend that she met at school Sinita and she tells Minerva that Trujillo was a bad person and that he had become president through blackmail and a coup d ´ état. Sinita was also talking about how all of her family was killed by Trujillo for standing up to him. This all was a complete shock to Minerva that it made her want to throw up. Sinita also explains to Minerva that Trujillo's secret is to have everyone killed.
- In chapter 3, Minerva gives her little sister a present which was a diary that she had always wanted. She really liked to talk about her feelings in that diary. Then one day, she had brought her diary to school and some mean girls stole it from her and started reading it, and everyone laughed at her for some of the things she wrote.#160; She became so upset that she cried and told Minerva about it.
