- Dally never talked like that.never. Dally didin't give a yankee dime about anyone but himself
- we started it! we started it! we started it!
- Dally picks up Pony and Johnny and brings them to dairy queen. He tells them that they got cherry as a spy.
- after they finish their meal they start to head back to the church
- *coughing
- Dally says to johnny that he dosent want him to go to jail, because it can do alot to a person, and Pony never heard dally talk about anything but himself
- they find out that the church is on fire and that there are kids inside, Pony feels guilty because they think they started it and Pony and Johnny head inside to save the kids
- Pony and Johnny drop the kids out the window
- Darry and Pony make up and Pony realises that Darry does care about him
