- Big Walter passed away but left $10,000 in life insurance, the Youngers decide what to do with the money. Mama wants to live in a big house, Beth wants to go to medical school, and young Walter wants to invest in a liquor store.

- Here is the money for that liquor store
- Walter meets with Willy Harris to give him the $8,500 he was originally suppose to put in the bank but instead gives it to willy to buy the liquor store. What Walter doesn't know, Willy takes the money and leaves town. Walter was also suppose to put $3,000 for Beth's medical school fund.

- Result/Resolution
- Willy took off with all the money, I didn't even put aside some money for Beth's medical school. I must call Linder so we could sell the house and get some money back...
- Walter, realizing what he has done, now has no choice but to confess to his family he lost the money and now has to sell their home to Lindner in order to get some money back from the house mama got in the white neighborhood.
