Jesus sat down to tell them the parable of the good Samaritan.
There was a man who was travelling from Jerusalem to Jericho and was attacked by robbers on the way.
Beat him up and take all the golds from his body!
What should I do? I don't have the donkey anymore and enough clothes to cover me.
PLEASE HELP ME! ANYONE? PLEASE HELP ME!
The man was badly beaten and doesn't know what to do. He's cold, and every part of his body is aching.
A priest was the first person to pass the injured man, and he crossed the road and continued to walk
A Levite, a priest's helper, was the second person to pass the injured guy. He, too, crossed the street and continued walking without assisting the man.
He wrapped him in bandages and washed his wounds. He then loaded him onto his donkey and took him to an innkeeper, whom he paid to look after him.
Please take care of him
The parable concludes with Jesus commanding the disciples to go out and do the same as the Samaritan. Matthew's Gospel likewise reflects this idea of loving one's enemies.
The third traveler was a Samaritan, a person from Samaria. The Jews despised the Samaritans. When the Samaritan saw the man, he felt compassion for him.
