- oh! Well basically its the system where the glands and organs that make hormones are released directly into the bloodstream, which travels to tissues and organs all over the body.

- Cool! What's the purpose and major organs in this system?
- The endocrine system's purpose is to control functions in the body such as growth, development, metabolism and reproduction. Some major organs that are included in the system are the hypothalamus, pineal gland, pituitary gland, thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, thymus, adrenal glands, and pancreas.

- uhmm... do you know if its connected to any other complex systems?
- Yes. The endocrine system is connected to the nervous and immune system. The nervous and endocrine system work together to help regulate the electrical and chemical processes that relay information throughout and between the brain and body. The immune and endocrine system are connected through the thymus gland, where it trains white blood cells called T cells for the immune system.
