- Well we have to have a discussion about Texas history and slaves.
- Honestly, I think the Jim Crows Laws were so unfair. The African Americans had to deal with so much just because of their color.
- Agreed. It caused a lot of segregation. I mean at least there were Buffalo soldiers.
- Yes! African American soldiers who served after the Civil War. They were helping our country.
- There were a lot of ranchero's, and were important in economics.
- Correct!
- I actually speak a bit of Spanish myself, and that means ranchers, right?
- There were many dark skinned people who finally stood up for this discrimination.
- Yes. There was of course MLK, Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, and so many more.
- There have been multiple movements since, and I am glad we get to learn and talk about it.
- Yeah there was way too much segregation in the past. I sure hope history does not repeat itself
