- I really want some ice cream right now but that is my id talking to me. I have to listen to my super ego and eat healthy.
- Above is showcasing Bandura's spotlight effect. The spotlight effect is when you assume or believe that everyone's attention is on you when really no one cares about what you are doing. In this scene I am worrying that the guy in the gym is judging me but really he is just focused on his own workout.
- How Adler Sees Me
- Mom and Dad never call me they only call my younger sister and older sister. They don't care about me.
- Eysenck believed that people are either extraverted or introverted. This meant that extraverted people got their energy from the outside world and introverted people got their energy from inside personal things. In this scene I am reading a book which is a hobby because I am introverted and get my energy from doing inside or personal things.
- How Horney Sees Me
- Freud believed that the id, ego, and superego were important parts of the mind and helped us make decisions. The id shows what we want or desire, the ego shows what we should do or want, and the superego makes the decision between them. In the scene above my Id is telling me to eat ice cream and my superego is telling me to eat healthy. Ultimately my ego decides to eat the orange and listen to the superego.

- I'm an Aries and all the characteristics fit perfectly!
- Adler believed that birth order impacts personality-childhood tension. He believed that behavior driven by efforts to overcome childhood inferiority complex. In this scene I am the middle child and middle children often feel excluded or left out. Here I am upset because I feel my parents do not call me in college as much as they call my older and younger sister.
- Horney believed that childhood anxiety can cause a desire for love and security. Above I feel no anxiety and only feel love and security as I am out with my friends having a good time. However if I was feeling helpless and anxious I would isolate myself to deal with those feelings.
- Costa and McCrae came up with the Big 5 Factors which did a better job telling story of personality. In the Big 5 traits remain stable in adulthood and actually predicts behavior mostly accurately. They are based off of openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. Above I say I am an Aries but in reality it is a "Stock Spiel" which is making generally true statements that could fit anyone.
