  • Yes! Another example of a bond, which is similar to a metallic bond, is a Covalent Bond.
  • A covalent bond is a bond that shares electrons just like metallic bonds. But instead of electrons freely moving between a structure of nuclei, they are shared between 2 specific atoms.

  • So it would be like 2 set atoms instead of all mixed together?
  • Yup, and, covalent bonds are all around us as well.
  • Let't take water for example. Water is H2O which is a covalent bond between two Hydrogen atoms and one Oxygen atom.
  • Wow! So bonds really are all around us in the whole world!
  • Yup! Pretty cool huh?

  • Thank you for watching and learning about some bonds with us!
