- Eckels, you're shooting first
- Eckels arrives at the Time Safari Inc. He and the receptionist remark about how they are glad that Keith won the presidential election over Deustcher. Eckels is introduced to Travis, his tour guide.
- Climax
- Not that way!
- They travel through time with three other men, including Travis' assistant. Travis profusely states to not step off the path and explains what could happen if it is done.
- Falling Action

- So glad Deutscher won the election
- Travis tells Eckels that he's going to shoot the dinosaur first. Eckels gets scared as the dinosaur appears through the mist.
- Resolution

- Eckels gets so scared that he runs off the path while the others shoot the dinosaur.
- They get back to the present and realize that things are different. The receptionist says that everyone is happy that Deutscher won the election instead of Keith. Eckels realizes that he killed a butterfly and inadvertently cause these changes.
- Travis is furious and shoots Eckels.
