- Hey son. What did you learn on school today?
- Well I learned about Ionic bonds and chemical reactions.
- And what's that?
- Welll, there are two types of chemical bonds: Ionic and covalent bonds.#160; And chemical reactions also have two types: physical and chemical.
- A bond is an electrostatic attraction between two or more atoms. Ionic bonds is an attraction between to atoms due to one transferring one or more electrons to the other one. And a covalent bond is an attraction that happens due to the sharing of electrons between them.
- And a chemical reaction is when two or more atoms or molecules interact to create a new product. A physical change is when there is no change on the chemical composition of the substance. And a chemical change is when the chemcial composition is changed and the#160; molecules of it are rearranged and broken apart.
