- I don't know! I reset my password yesterday because I got an email. And now, all my money is gone! It says there were 4 failed password attempts.
- How did that happen?
- Oh, you probably got password attacked.
- A password attack is when a malicious party tries to get your password for something. Mostly, they use it to get money.
- There are many types of password attacks. The one that happened to you is probably a "dictionary attack", where common passwords are attempted, or "credential stuffing, where the attacker finds your personal information and uses that to guess your password.
- What's that?
- How many types of password attacks are there?
- How can I stop this from ever happening to me again?
- There are many type. Most repeatedly guess the password, while some require digging through old accounts, others send fake emails, and some even require stalking the person.
- The best way to stop this from happening to you is to keep a very secure password that's hard to guess, even if someone knows everything about you. 
- You should make sure to keep your passwords in a secure place. Like in a journal or something.
- Also don't click on links that you are emailed unless you are 100% sure it isn't fake.
