- Moyra approaches her instructor after class.
- Sure, Moyra. What is it you want to talk about?

- Well, It's about my argumentative essay. I worked really hard on it and I wrote all 800 words required but you didn't give me a good mark.
- That's right Moyra. I'm afraid I can't give you a higher mark because you don't have any counterarguments in your paper. It is all one-sided.

- I'm sorry but I don't understand. You wanted me to write an argument. Why would I talk about the other points of view?
- Because that way, you make your own argument stronger by acknowledging other opinions and then using logic to show why your ideas are better.
- .
- Well, I suppose that makes sense. I've never done that before but I will try it when I write the next assignment.
- Please do that. If you can give me your next essay by Friday, I will be able to give you some feedback before the deadline.

- Really! OK. I will have it done by Friday! Also I don't know what you mean by "fix your citations".
