Texto do Storyboard

  • Once upon a time three bears decided to grab some flying fish in the river for supper. The three bears named Polar, Grizzly and Panda wanted to find the biggest fish so they used their incredible jumping abilities.
  • The Panda bear decides that he has found the perfect fish after a few minutes of searching however since the fish in this river fly, he needs to use trig to calculate his jump. He is 4 feet away from the fish and has a hypotenuse of 6 feet so to find the angle he uses sin. He finally figures out that the angle is equal to 41.81° using sin^-1(4/6). Now, he can land the jump perfectly.

  • While the panda bear and polar bear were finding their fish, the brown decided he wanted some fruit up in the tree. But he can only reach the height of 10 feet. So he decided to use trigonometry to figure out whether he could reach the fruit. The hypotenuse was 9.8 feet and the angle of elevation was 32°. He figures out that the height is equal to 9.8(cos 32) which is equal to 8.31 feet. So he can reach the fruit in the tree!

  • At last, the polar found the perfect fish jumping across the river. He wanted to reach it but was worried he would fall in the river, so he calculated the height of the fish using the distance he was from it and the angle of elevation. He got 12(tan41) which is equal to 10.43 feet, the height of the fish. Thankfully he could reach it because of his super magical abilities.
