River Runner Watershed Lab

Once upon a time, in the heart of America, there flowed a river named the Mississippi. I, the Mighty Mississippi, begin my journey from the clear mountain streams in Minnesota
As I flow through the North, I pass the breathtaking Great River Bluffs State Park, where eagles soar high above the rugged cliffs.
Continuing my adventure, I venture into the Mississippi River Valley. Here, I join the Missouri River, becoming even mightier as we merge and flow as one.
As I travel farther south, I encounter the city of St. Louis, where people can look at my waters from the Gateway Arch
Moving onward, I encounter the farmlands of Midwest, where corn and soybean fields thrive with the water I provide
Sometimes my path is altered by human-made dams, but I continue my journey, finding my way through channels and locks.
Along my banks, you'll find a rich variety of fish, including catfish and bass. These creatures of water call me their home.
As I near the end of my journey, I approach the welcoming Gulf of Mexico.
Though my adventure may come to an end, my story continues in the memories of all those who have been touched by the Mighty Mississippi's flow.
