Texto do Storyboard

  • Civil rights activist, Rosa Parks, sat at the front of the bus and refused to give up her seat for a white man. She was then arrested.
  • I don't care. I was not going to give up my seat for a white man.
  • But ma'am- segregation laws.
  • After Rosa Parks was arrested, the Montgomery Bus Boycott had began as a protest against segregation on public transport. Instead, black leaders organized black carpools and African-American drivers only charged 10 cents.
  • NO MORE !!
  • After a year of boycotting, their demands were finally met. Which was courtesy; bus seats were first-come, first-serve regardless of race. On June 5, 1956, the federal court ruled that racial segregation on buses was violation of the 14th amendment.
