  • I will wait by the Tumtum tree until the Jabberwocky comes.
  • The poem takes place in the odd Wonderlandian world depicted in "Through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll. He describes the land as a fantasy forest
  • Climax
  • I can do this!
  • The father of the hero warns his son of the Jabberwocky, a dangerous monster which lurks in the forest. He also tells his son of many other wild creatures that inhabit the forest.
  • Falling Action
  • I did it! I defeated the Jabberwocky!
  • The son obtains the vorpal sord and awaits the Jabberwocky by a Tum Tum tree. The Jabberwocky aproaches, a vile, evil thing.
  • Resolution
  • Callooh! Callay! Let's celebrate.
  • The faithful son fights the Jabberwocky with the mystical vorpal sword. He beheads the monster, a classic tale of good vs. evil.
  • The son triumphantly goes "galumphing back" home to his father, on defeating the Jabberwocky.
  • The father is extremely proud of his son and they both celebrate the death of the hated monster which terrorized their lives.
  • I beheaded the Jabberwocky!
