  • Benign vs Malignant Tumors
  • Today we'll be learning the difference between Benign and Malignant Tumors!
  • In a Benign Tumor, cells remain clustered together. They do not metastasize (spread), and most of these tumors are non-cancerous.
  • In a Malignant Tumor, cells usually spread wider distances. They can go all the way to tissues and to the bloodstream. They metastasize almost uncontrollably, and they are cancerous.
  • When detected,Benign Tumors can be removed. As for Malignant Tumors, most of the cases where one is detected it hasn't completely spread yet.
  • Cells in Benign Tumors are like all our normal cells.
  • Cells in Malignant Tumors have an abnormal shape and a nuclear larger and darker than that of a normal cell.
