- Crooks gives into Lennie and lets him enter because he is very lonely and enjoys the company that Lennie brings
- When Curley's wife allows Lennie to be comforted by stroking her hair, he then becomes overwhelmed by the feelings of the moment and begins grabbing her hair too hard. When she begins yelling out in pain, Lennie begins covering her mouth and shaking her violently, leading to her neck breaking and her dying.
- George finds Lennie by a bush,near the river.George takes out Carlson's Luger and yells Lennie to look towards the water.George tries to make Lennie think happy thoughts and then he shoots him.
